Drawing	Poor Student did not base the drawing off of the master copy's composition. A straight edge/compass was not used.	Fair Student loosely based drawing off of the master copy. A straight edge/compass is used most of the time.	Good Student based the drawing off of the master copy's composition. A straight edge/compass was used throughout the piece.
Borders	Poor Borders are not straight and centered. The borders do not correspond to the original piece in a ratio of 1:1.	Fair One element is off in respect to the borders.	Good The borders are straight and properly aligned. In addition, the ratio is a perfect 1:1 to the original image.
Color	Poor Student did not use a limited palette. No real attention to color was payed. There is not a variety of tone but rather a very limited range.	Fair Student attempted to use a limited palette. A tonal range is attempted slightly but more could've been done.	Good Student successfully used a limited palette and demonstrated a sensitive range of tone.
Application of Color	Poor Student's application of color is done in a hasty and haphazard fashion. Pencil lines are visible. Manner is not consistent enough to create a visually appealing piece.	Fair Student's application of color is done in a manner that is mainly organized. Pencil lines are partially visible. Student could've taken more time to create a visually appealing piece.	Good Student's application of color is done in a highly organized and consistent fashion. The student's piece is the most attractive it could be in terms of color application.
Presentation	Poor Student did not take care of their paper. Paper is dirty, torn, bent, folded or has misc. marks in the clean sections.	Fair Student's paper has some misc. marks in the clean sections of their paper. For the most part the paper is clean.	Good Paper is free of all marks, tear, bends or stray paint marks.
