Math Word Problem

Content of Problem	Fantastic Appropriate creative content is used. Concept is very clearly understood. Problem very clearly follows directions given	Good Appropriate content is used with some creativity. Understanding of concept is somewhat apparent. Directions given followed somewhat	Fair Content is not appropriate but some creativity is evident. Little understanding of the math concept is shown. Directions given followed very little	Poor Content is not appropriate. and no creativity is seen. No understanding of the math concept is shown. Directions given not followed
Illustrating or drawing a picture:	Fantastic The illustration clearly represents the topic of the problem and does an excellent job of explaining the math problem.	Good The illustration somewhat represents the topic of the problem but does not fully explain the math problem	Fair The illustration attempts to represent the topic but does not explain the math problem	Poor No illustration is present or the illustration present does not represent the topic of the problem.
Written Explanation	Fantastic Work is explained correctly using time order words (first, second, then, last, etc). Correct mathematical words are used.	Good Work is explained using time order words (first, second, then, last, etc). More than half of the explanation is correct and only one or two steps are missing. Most of the mathematical words used are correct.	Fair Work is explained but with no time order words and more than half of the explanation is missing or not in order. Many of the mathematical words are not correct.	Poor Work explanation has no time order words; is not clear and has no correlation with problem. No mathematical terms are used.
Mathematical Computation	Fantastic Math is done neatly and correctly showing all correct computations, mathematical operations and using correct math symbols .	Good Math is done neatly and more than half is correctly done. There are one or two mathematical errors in writing or showing proper steps.	Fair Math is attempted, many of the steps or work shown is incorrect. Work does not correlate to problem.	Poor Math is attempted, no steps shown. Has no correlation with problem. Work does not support answer.
Answer	Fantastic Answer is correct and correctly labeled.	Good Answer is correct but not properly labled.	Fair Answer is given but has small calculation error.	Poor Answer is given but is very different from the correct answer or no answer is given at all.
