Geometry - City Project My City Project II Students must create a map of a city. The map must include a city name, two examples of parallel lines, 2 examples of perpendicular lines, 5 polygons (using a variety of), and 2 different types of triangles, 1 trapezoid and 1 parallelogram, illustrated (using ruler and protractor) and colored. Elements of Design

Parallel lines	Poor Very small depiction of parallel lines.	Fair Somewhat large and appropriate use of parallel lines.	Good Parallel lines are obvious and integrated well within the illustration.
Perpendicular lines	Poor Very small depiction of perpendicular lines.	Fair Somewhat large and appropriate use of perpendicular lines.	Good Perpendicular lines are obvious and integrated well within the illustration.
A variety of polygons.	Poor Limited use of polygon shapes.	Fair Somewhat larger variety and use of polygon shapes.	Good Polygon shapes are of a great variety, and integrated well within the illustration.
A variety of triangles	Poor Limited use of triangle shapes.	Fair Somewhat larger variety and use of trangular shapes.	Good Triangular shapes are of a great variety, and integrated well within the illustration.
Trapezoids	Poor Small use of a trapezoid.	Fair Somewhat larger but appropriate use of a trapezoid.	Good Trapezoid shape is integrated well within the illustration appropriately.
Illustration and Color	Poor Illustration is sloppy and completed without the use of the ruler or protrator. Coloring is limited and sloppy.	Fair Illustrated with some care with limited use of a ruler and protrator in creation of shapes. Coloring is fair.	Good Illustrated with great care, and the use of a ruler and protractor is evident in the creation of shapes. Coloring is neatly completed.
