Remembers a few of the steps/ movements and tries, but looks lost and out of sync with others.

Demonstrates some knowledge of choreography, but unsure of some movements. Sometimes hesitates/ watches others and makes some errors

Demonstrates good knowledge of choreography. Keeps up with group. Few errors.

Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the choreography.

The dancer is not very focused, concentrated or committed to performance.

The dancer is generally focused, but not working/performing to full potential. Energy is inconsistent.

The dancer is confident, and performs with consistent energy and intent. A solid performance.

The dancer is confident, and clearly brings life to the choreography. The dancer is able to engage the audience completely through their performance, and is intruiguing to watch.

Student is demonstrating decreased abilities in performance and technical skills. Memorization, performance, and execution of material is at a poorer level than the previous tests.

Performance and technical ability is consistent with prior testing. Student has not increased or decreased skill level in memorization or execution of material. Needs to push self harder to demonstrate learning and improved skill level.

Shows minor improvement in performance and technical skills, and demonstrates sufficient improvement in memorization/execution of material. Student has shown adequate improvement since the last performance test.

Shows major improvement in performance and technical skills, and demonstrates improvement in memorization/execution of material. Student has gone above and beyond prior testing abilities.
