The student is not able to demonstrate understanding and mastery of steady beat at this time.

The student SOMETIMES plays with a steady beat throughout sight reading exercise. There are three to four pauses or hesitations and they take away from the overall performance of the exercise.

The student MOSTLY plays with a steady beat throughout the sight reading exercise. There are one to two pauses or hesitations but they do not take away from the overall performance of the exercise.

The student ALWAYS plays with a steady beat throughout the sight reading exercise. There are no steady beat pauses or hesitations.
Rhythmic Accuracy

The student is not able to demonstrate understanding and mastery of rhythmic concepts at this time.

The student SOMETIMES plays the rhythms accurately throughout the sight reading exercise. There are three to four rhythmic mistakes and they take away from the overall performance of the exercise.

The student MOSTLY plays the rhythms accurately throughout the sight reading exercise. There are one to two rhythmic mistakes but they do not take away from the overall performance of the exercise.
