Book Study: Theme Presentation You will create a Google presentation about one of your reading books. The presentation will be about 3 possible themes for the book, including a book reference, a fact statement, and your opinion sentence. Book Study Presentation
	Poor 0 pts	Average 2 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Overall presentation	Poor There is no background chosen OR there are more than 6 errors in spelling or grammar.	Average The colors and background do not fit with the subject OR there are errors in spelling or grammar.	Excellent The colors and background fit with the subject of the book. The entire presentation has NO errors in spelling or grammar.
Title slide	Poor The first slide is missing 2 or more items from the required list.	Average The first slide is missing one item from the required list.	Excellent The first slide must have the following information: book title underlined, the author's name, the publishing year and the student's name.
Themes	Poor There is only 1 theme or none at all.	Average There are only 2 themes.	Excellent There are at least 3 themes. More than 3 themes may be included.
Images	Poor There are no images on some of the slides.	Average The images chosen do not go with the book and its topic.	Excellent The images fit well with the book and its topic. They help to explain and illustrate the text.
Image References	Poor None of the images have a web address listed.	Average One or two of the images used do not have a web address listed.	Excellent All images used have a small web address listed underneath them.
Quote from Book	Poor There are no quotes for any of the themes.	Average Each theme does not have a quote from the book.	Excellent Each theme has a quote from the book in quotation marks that relates to the quote.
Fact Sentence	Poor There are no fact sentences for any of the themes.	Average Each theme does not have a fact sentence.	Excellent Each theme has a fact sentence written by the student. The fact helps to explain the theme.
Opinion Sentence	Poor There are no opinion sentences for any of the themes.	Average Each theme does not have an opinion sentence.	Excellent Each theme has an opinion sentence written by the student. The opinion helps to explain the theme.
