Class Participation
	Poor or no points 0 pts	Fair 1 pts	Good 2 pts	Excellent 3 pts
ATTENDANCE	Poor POOR Student is absent for 3 or more classes.	Fair FAIR Student is absent for 1- 2 classes and does not provide reasonable excuses.	Good GOOD Student is absent the 1-2 classes and provides reasonable excuses.	Excellent EXCELLENT Student is present at every class meeting, or provides reasonable excuse for missing no more than 1 class.
PUNCTUALITY	Poor POOR Student is often late, four or more times.	Fair FAIR Student is sometimes on time (three or four latenesses).	Good GOOD Student is usually on time or early (one or two latenesses).	Excellent EXCELLENT Student is on time regularly or early for class.
LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR	Poor POOR Student never participates in class, does not participate in discussions. Comments, when offered, are often uninformed and rely on personal taste.	Fair FAIR Student rarely participates in class, struggles with discussions. Comments are often uninformed and rely on personal taste.	Good GOOD Student sometimes asks questions, and participates in discussions.	Excellent EXCELLENT Student brings original thought and persepctive to discussion. Maintains active involvement throughout semester.
