Variety of Actions	Poor The dancer demonstrates one action.	Below Proficient The dancer demonstrates 2-3 different actions.	Proficient The dancer demonstrates 4-5 different actions.	Good The dancer demonstrates over 5 actions.	Excellent The dancer demonstrates over 5 actions at different levels.
Time/ Dynamics	Poor Changes in timing have not been utilized.<BR> Counts were inconsistent and rhythmic phrasing was undynamic and not well thought out. <BR> Flow is missing.	Below Proficient Timing was explored but phrasing was inconsistent. Rhythmic phrasing was apprehensive.<BR> Dynamics are lacking.	Proficient Timing and phrasing are consistance. Dancers shows no hesitation in between movements.	Good Exploration of rythm and music is evident. Movement has a voice of its own. Dynamics add to the value fo the movement.	Excellent Rhythm is interesting and adds depth to work. Movement has value without music.<BR> Dynamics are strong and enhance phrases.
Space	Poor Dancer stays in same space throughout the piece. No level change or locomotor movement.	Below Proficient Dancer does not travel but a few feet from original space and has little exploration of levels.	Proficient Dancer travels adequatley throughout space.	Good Dancer travels with very well throughout the space.	Excellent The dancer has a strong concept of making the most out of their performance space.
Stage Presence	Poor Dancer shows no poise and does not perform with any effort. Dancer appears to be unfocused.	Below Proficient Dancer shows little poise and doesn't perform with much effort. The dancer loses focus often.	Proficient Dancer is able to maintain poise and seems focused for the most part.	Good Dancer displays good focus, poise, and effort.	Excellent Dancer demonstrates an excellent amount of focus, poise, and effort.
