Participation	Poor No oral participation. No written notes from the debate at hand.	Fair No oral participation. 2-3 sentences of notes from debate at hand.	Good Some participation (voice heard at least once). 4-5 sentences of notes from debate at hand.	Exemplary Participated frequently(voice heard more than once). Paragraph or at least 6 sentences of notes from debate at hand. Need at least 10 sentences of notes if only participated once
Preparation	Poor *No preparation done on this topic. Not prepared to participate.	Fair Minimal preparation for discussion. 1-2 discussion points in notes.	Good Adequate preparation for discussion. 3-5 discussion points in notes.	Exemplary Excellent preparation for discussion. 6 or more discussion points in notes.
