Drawing	Poor Did not attempt to draw neatly. Not simple or interesting. Poor composition.	Fair Attempted to draw neatly. Simple but lacking interesting elements.	Good Student neatly drew a simple landscape drawing that included interesting elements. Good composition.
Use of Color	Poor No complimentary colors.	Fair Used some complimentary colors.	Good Used all complimentary colors.
Painting	Poor Paint is applied sloppily. Edges between elements are smudged. There are a number of places where the canvas shows.	Fair Paint was applied mostly neatly. Most edges are clear between elements. Some canvas shows.	Good Paint was applied neatly. Edges between elements are clear. No canvas shows.
Work Ethic	Poor Did not stay on task and / or show respect. Talkative. Left a mess.	Fair Stayed on task, but could have applied themselves more. Didn't clean up all the way.	Good Stayed on task and was respectful to teacher, classroom materials, and artwork. Cleaned up promptly and thoroughly. Offered to help others.
