Symmetrical Design 80 x 2 points Symmetrical Design 80 x 2 points Create a design that is symmetrically balanced on a sheet of 12x18 white drawing paper using a tracing technique. Your design should include at least 4 colors and make sure the edges are neat, sharp and the paint is dark and opaque. Design Design demonstrates symmetry in shape.	Getting There... Design is not symmetrical / balanced.	Almost There... Design is some what symmetrical / balanced.	WOW!!! Design is detailed and precise, creating a symmetrical design.
Color Color demonstrates symmetry by repeating the colors within the symmetrical design.	Getting There... Color is not symmetrical / balanced and / or colors are not dark and opaque.	Almost There... Not all colors are dark and opaque and / or did not use minimum 4 colors required and / or not all colors are symmetrical.	WOW!!! At least 4 colors are used. Colors are opaque and symmetrically repeated.
Creativity Project includes unique creative elements.	Getting There... Student follows example without alteration or modification.	Almost There... Student modifies from example and includes some unique aspects.	WOW!!! Over the top!!! Project is uniquely complex and creative.
Craftmanship Quality of finished project. Neatness	Getting There... Work does not demonstrate careful use of materials. Messy	Almost There... Work is fairly neat and some attention to detail is shown. Some imperfections detract somewhat from the artwork.	WOW!!! Work shows extreme care with materials and appears to be made with great care. Did not always use class time wisely, some behavior issues, or did not clean up at end of class.	WOW!!! Behavior consistently positive and respectful. Kept area clean.
Work Process Using your time wisely during class.	Getting There... Did not use class time wisely. Slow to finish or did not finish project.	Almost There... Spent most of the time on task. Finished in a timely manner.	WOW!!! Utilized time wisely and effectively. Finished on time.
