Romanticism Painting Perspective: Neoclassic architecture The student will create an acrylic painting that uses the glazing technique. Romantic Painting
	Excellent 10 pts	Good 9 pts	Satisfactory 8 pts	Poor 7 pts
Glazing technique	Excellent Student created an under painting with a full range of values. The glazing adds color and works with the under painting.	Good Student created an under painting with 4 or 5 values. The glazing adds color but sometimes covers up the under painting.	Satisfactory Student created an underpainting with only 3 values. The glazing was too opaque and tends to cover the underpainting.	Poor There is only one or two values in the underpainting. The under painting not evident.
Design	Excellent Overall design is well balanced and organized.	Good Overall the design is balanced.	Satisfactory . Overall the design is adequate.	Poor Overall the design is not balanced.
Romanticism elements Emotional, dramatic, dynamic, reference to literature	Excellent The painting clearly demonstrates an understands Romantic elements.	Good The painting demonstrates some Romantic elements.	Satisfactory The painting has little reference to the Romantic style.	Poor The painting does not reflect any reference to the Romantic style.
Craftsmanship	Excellent Piece is exceptionally neat. The drawing shows evidence of excellent time management.	Good Piece is neat and mostly complete. The drawing shows evidence of good time management.	Satisfactory Piece lacks overall appearance of neatness. Lack of completeness is evidence of fair time management.	Poor Piece is not neat. Lack of completeness is evidence of poor time management.
Creativity	Excellent The artwork is original and unique in design.	Good The artwork shows some originality and uniqueness.	Satisfactory The artwork shows little originality.	Poor The artwork is copied or shows no originality.
