Completion/Directions 20 pts Your project should include all of the elements described and be ready on time.	Poor Project or directions are incomplete	Fair Project is partially complete and/or directions partially followed.	Good Project is mostly complete and/or directions mostly followed.	Excellent Project is complete and all directions followed.
Neatness/attractiveness 20 pts Your project should have enough visual detail so that the observer understands the literature and how you feel about it. It should be neat and look nice.	Poor Project appears messy and thrown together.	Fair Project appears somewhat messy and thrown together.	Good Project is neat but lacks detail.	Excellent Project is exceptionally neat, attractive, and creative. Lots of detail is evident.
Information/Creativity 20 pts Choose a piece of literature that you like. Discuss with Mrs. M how you want to represent the literature you have chosen. Make a plan for your project. Make sure your project will clearly reflect why it is important to you by showing details and descriptions.	Poor Project is incomplete and no indication that directions were followed.	Fair Information was given partially and/or lacks creativity.	Good Some level of information given and is somewhat creative.	Excellent Full information given and symbols and pictures are extremely creative.
Mechanics 20 pts Spelling Grammar Punctuation	Poor Many errors in capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and /or grammar	Fair Some errors in capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and /or grammar	Good A few errors in capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and /or grammar	Excellent No errors in capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and /or grammar It is evident that all work has been checked
Effort / Comprehension 20 pts Your project should show that you understand the piece of literature enough that you can express to the observer why it is important to you.	Poor No effort - project is incomplete.	Fair Shows minimal effort and understanding.	Good Shows some effort and understanding.	Excellent Much effort put into project and knowledge of book can be seen.
