	Excellent 20 pts	Good 17 pts	Fair 12 pts	Poor 10 pts
Length	Excellent The poem has 35 lines and does not go off topic.	Good The poem has 35 lines, but not all of them have to do with the book.	Fair The poem has less than 35 lines, and some of the lines are off topic.	Poor The poem has less than 35 lines and is hard to understand.
Content	Excellent The poem clearly reflects the plot, main conflict, or theme progression of the book.	Good The poem sometimes reflects the plot, main conflict, or theme progression of the book.	Fair The poem reflects information from the book, but there are major holes that confuse the reader.	Poor The poem does not have to do with the book at all.
Editing	Excellent The poem is written neatly (or typed). There is no more than one spelling OR grammar mistake.	Good The poem is typed or written neatly, but there are 2-4 grammar or spelling mistakes.	Fair The poem is not neatly written or typed OR there are 5-8 spelling or grammar mistakes.	Poor The poem is not written or typed neatly and there are more than 9 spelling or grammar mistakes.
