Good Theme is consistent throughout essay with the exception of a couple of digressions. The author's purpose is clear and supported moderately.	Excellent Theme is consistent throughout essay. The author's purpose is explicit and supported thoroughly.
Organization	Poor Essay adheres to no apprent format; introduction and conclusion are indistinguishable. Paragraphs are unstructured.	Fair Essay strays from standard format; introduction and conclusion are weak. Paragraphs are somewhat unclear.	Good Essay adheres to the format, with a satisfactory introduction and conclusion. Paragraphs are arranged coherently.	Excellent Essay fits the five-paragraph format, with a strong introduction and conclusion. Paragraphs flow in a coherent and logical manner.
