Reading Portfolio Reading Portfolio This is an assessment of a reading portfolio that students will have created over the entire semester. The rubric will be used twice:once during the mid term and then again as a final rubric. The reading responses show thought	Outstanding! Student generally exceeded expectations. All of the reading responses are very insightful and show careful consideration.
Self reflection	Needs some work Missing self reflections. Self reflections show very little thought.	You're on your way... Missing a self reflection. Self reflections are basic.	You got it! Includes 2 reflections. The self reflections show thought.	Outstanding! Includes 2 reflections or more. All of the self reflections are very insightful and show careful consideration.
Vocabulary	Needs some work Student has clearly not edited the portfolio.	You're on your way... Student has made some attempt at editing, but most of the work seems to be a first draft.	You got it! Student has edited the portfolio, but there are still grammar and punctuation errors in the assignments.	Outstanding! Student has a well edited portfolio with very few grammar and punctuation errors.
Organization	Needs some work Material is unorganized and difficult to understand. Missing a number of pieces.	You're on your way... Organization is basic. Missing more than a few pieces.	You got it!
