Fair Explanatory paragraphs have somewhat of a structure, but are less than 6 sentences. Paragraphs lack one main idea of focus per paragraph.	Good Paragraphs are developed and well-written, with a clear topic sentence and one main idea. Student clearly explains his/her point with strong supporting statements.
Paragraph Content	Poor Student is lacking in the ability to explain the theme. Shows little or no comprehension of the book and its theme. No textual evidence	Fair Student gives an explanation theme. Explanation is lacking some detail and depth, but thought was demonstrated in the project. Shows decent comprehension of the book and the theme. Makes an attempt at textual evidence for support.	Good Student can give a clear explanation of what the theme is,and can give sufficient details to support this. Shows great comprehension of the book and its theme. Uses textual evidence to clearly support paragraphs.
