This rubric evaluates skill in drawing and adding color with qtip using pointillism and acrylic paints.

The student was not successful in applying dots. Dots are long brush marks rather than q-tips dots.

Painting appears messy. Matt is not even and student did not erase pencil lines.

Most dots are carefully painted, however, more paint could have been used. Not all pencil lines are erased. Double matt could be neater.

Dots are neatly painted not rushed. Student carefully erased pencil and matted on 2 pieces of paper evenly.

Class time was not use wisely and student put little effort into the painting. Assignment seems incomplete.

Most of the class time was used wisely, but student could have been more focused during the creation of the piece.

Class time was used wisely. Much time and effort went into the planning and creation of the piece.
