Student constructed well-developed, comprehensive lesson plans that outline overall objectives, procedure, assessment techniques and closure. All pieces flow together and provide adequate transition.
Good

Lesson plans contain objectives, procedures, assessments and closure – but some are better developed than others. Transition components may need to be addressed.
Fair

Lesson plans tap into the basic objectives and procedures, but little or no assessment or closure components are included. Some disorganization in the
prepared lesson plan.
Poor

Lesson plan not submitted or does not connect to objectives, procedures, assessments or closure. Structure of lesson plan is difficult to ascertain and is either vague or missing.
Integration of Technology

Superior

Student seamlessly integrates appropriate technology into the lesson. Technology chosen significantly enhances lesson and connects directly to learning objectives. Student is able to utilize demonstrated technology with a very high level of proficiency.

Lesson incorporates technology effectively, but is “forced” or awkward in its integration. General connection to overall lesson objectives, but not all are fully defined and/or integrated. Student demonstrates proficient use of the selected technology.

Selected technology is provided, but is external to the overall lesson objectives and structure. Technology does not enhance lesson, and may detract from overall learning objectives. Students do not demonstrate suitable level of ability with selected technology.
Poor

Technology component either not included or is contrary to stated lesson objectives. Utilization of technology reduces or eliminates effective learning within the lesson. Students are unable to utilize technology nor demonstrate their knowledge about the selected technology.
Lesson Delivery

Superior

Student presents lesson materials in a very clear and concise manner that focuses on lesson objectives. Student speaks at an appropriate volume and seeks to reduce or eliminate distractions that may impact student learning.
Good

Student delivers lesson in an effective and manageable manner. There is a loose connection to learning objectives throughout the lesson. Presented is occasionally difficult to hear and/or understand.
Fair

Student provides lesson material in a static and not-fully effective manner. Some disconnection regarding lesson objectives and lesson delivery. Student is frequently difficult to hear or understand.
Poor

Lesson delivery is not present or not comprehendible. No connection to lesson topic or objectives is evident.
Individualization/Special Inclusion

Superior

Specific initiatives and procedures are developed and presented in order to provide individualized learning opportunities for students based of different learning styles.
Good

General strategies are developed and presented to support different learning styles of peers.

Student did not meet expectations in any portion of the assignment. Student performance was well below instructor
expectations.
