Diorama	Poor Shoe box is covered with one type of material. Unable to determine habitat or animal.	Fair Shoe box uses two different types of material. An animal is shown, but is not identifiable.	Good Shoe box uses more than 2 types of materials. The habitat is identifiable, and so is the animal.	WOW Shoe box is completely covered, uses many different types of materials to show habitat of animal. The animal is clearly identifiable and realistic. Teacher can tell it is your own work.
Oral Presentation	Poor Stood up and presented their diorama. Everyone would have liked to have heard what you had to say. You needed help in explaining your diorama.	Fair You read your report and everyone could hear.	Good Everyone could hear you. You did your presentation with no help. The presentation was clear and smooth.	WOW You presented with no errors in a smooth, clear voice. You used expression when presenting.

Overall Neatness	Poor Diorama is torn or tape showing. Paper is folded or corners are torn. There are signs of stains or stray marks.	Fair Diorama is torn or tape showing. Research paper is folded. Paper is free of stray marks.	Good Diorama shows no sign of damage, and no tape showing. Research paper is flat and extra pages are stapled together.	WOW Diorama shows no sign of damage or any tape showing. Research paper is stapled and left in a folder to turn in.
