Google Earth

Navigating, Locating specific locations, Adding/renaming to my places/accessing Knowledge Cards

Beginning

I had difficulty navigating to the locations. I didn't include all of the locations in My Places
Developing

I navigated most of the places, but may have missed or included an incorrect location.
Intermediate

I navigated all of the places in the hunt. All were added to My Places.
Advanced

I easily navigate through Google Earth. All of the required locations were found, I added all of them to My Places and found additional relevant information.
Placemarks

Thoughtfulness and care are used in choosing placemarks

Beginning

The placemarks don't make sense and there are few to no explanations of why they were chosen and are important.
Developing

The placemarks are mixed and don't all make sense. Parts and explanations are missing. Their descriptions of importance are incomplete.
Intermediate

The placemarks mostly seem to fit and are explained well. There is explanation for their importance, but more could be added.
Advanced

The placemarks that were chosen tell a story about the author's life and show thought and care in their selection. The descriptions of why they were chosen are explained clearly.
Presentation

Beginning

Developing

Presentation is presented on time. Presenter does not appear to have practiced and presentation is just read from the slides.
Intermediate

Presentation is presented on time. Presentation appears to be practiced, but there are issues with clarity and/or volume.
Advanced

Presentation is presented on time and shows that the presenter practiced it before. Presenter speaks clearly and loudly and in a natural voice.
