Operating System Presentation 
Student is assuming the role of an I.T. manager, and is to recommend whether or not to buy a specific operating system based on research he/she has gathered. The student can present their material in a method of their choosing: Powerpoint, Oral, as a Proposal, or in a Poster Display. However, they must include a Handout for their classmates, and they must speak on their topic for at least five minutes.

Student does not present information appropriate to the assignment or demonstrates a total lack of effort.

Student is uncomfortable with presenting information, fails to include significant content, or includes inappropriate content or behaves inappropriately.
Good

Student is at ease with the content but fails to include some basic, relevant material. Or, student presents in an unprofessional manner by showing off/acting up.
Excellent

Student demonstrates knowledge of the O.S.; addresses basic, relevant content and is able to answer questions or elaborate in a professional manner.

Poor

Student failed to include a handout for the class, or failed to present the assignment.
Fair

Student included handouts for the class, but content was inappropriate or significantly incomplete. Visuals had 6 or more errors.
Good

Student included handouts for the class, but content was limited, or somewhat incomplete. Visuals had 3 to 5 errors.
Excellent

Student included handouts for the class with relevant content. Visuals were spell-checked and proofed for errors.
Timing

Poor

Student had no knowledge of their assigned operating system, or spoke about their assigned operating system for less than 2.5 minutes.
Fair

Student was able to speak knowledgeably about their assignmed operating system for at least 2.5 minutes, but less than 3.5 minutes.
Good

Student was able to speak knowledgeably about their assigned operating system for at least 3.5 minutes, but less than the required five minutes.
Excellent

Student was able to speak knowledgeably about their assigned operating system for five or more minutes.
Verbal Delivery

Poor

Student met none of the following criteria:
Introduced himself, made eye contact with the audience and spoke in a tone that was easy to hear.
Fair

Student met one of the following criteria: Introduced himself, made eye contact with the audience and spoke in a tone that was easy to hear.
Good

Student met two of the following criteria: introduced himself, made eye contact with the audience and spoke in a tone that was easy to hear.
