Topic	Excellent Student stays on topic and provides thorough explanations. They follow a clear, detailed description of the living animal chosen. Its needs and characteristics are defined.	Good Student stays on topic and provides some explanations. They provide basic information to the questions required about the living thing they chose.	Fair Student stays on topic, but provides little explanations. Does not clearly answer all questions required.	Poor Student is off topic. The information is hard to follow and does not connect to the topic given. Questions are not answered correctly and/or information is incomplete.
Delivery	Excellent Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation.	Good Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation.	Fair Student's voice is low. Student incorrectly pronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation.	Poor Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear.
Practice Time	Excellent Student used time wisely to look over work thoroughly. They took time to read it many times.	Good Student used time to look over work and read it over several times.	Fair Student did not use time wisely consistently throughout time allotted. They were reminded to focus on the task at hand.	Poor Student did not use their time to practice. They were reminded several times to stop talking to a classmate and focus on the task given.
