The cover page is on topic and neatly done. The title page includes an original anti-drug slogan and a colored picture. The cover must be done by hand.

Cover page is very messy. Includes slogan or picture but not both. Cover is not colored, but done in pencil or pen
Poor

Cover is left blank or hurridly done. Scribbling is evident. Original slogan and picture is not included.
Headings and Subheadings

Excellent

A minimum of 8 headings and 7 sub-headings are used. Headings are larger and a different color than subheadings.
Good

7 or less headings are used. 6 or less subheadings are used. Headings are not different from subheadings.
Fair

6 or less headings are used. 5 or less subheadings are used. It is hard to know what are headings or subheadings.
Poor

Text is written in paragraph form with no or few headings.
Information boxes

Excellent

8 information boxes are used. They include all required content and give interesting information. Boxes are easy to read and neatly done.
Good

7 information boxes are used. Content is mostly complete but missing some information. Writing is somewhat hard to read.

5 or fewer information boxes are used. Student is missing a lot of content and writing is hard to read.

3 or no information boxes are used. The box contents are illegible and missing most of the required information.
Conventions and Format

Excellent

All words are spelled correctly. Grammar and sentence structure are correct. The booklet contains a table of contents and glossary of at least 10 words.
Good

Some words are misspelled. Wording is less than clear at times. Missing a table of contents or glossary or contains both but are incomplete.
Fair

Spelling mistakes appear often. No table of contents or glossary is provided. Sentence structure is hard to follow
Poor

Text is very hard to understand and lacks flow. Spelling and grammar mistakes are overabundant. No table of contents or glossary.
Pictures

Excellent

Student shows excellent variety of colored pictures consisting of at least one per page, not including table of contents and glossary.
Good

Students shows variety of pictures but has less than required and some pictures are not colored.
Fair

Students shows some variety of pictures but has less then required and some are not colored.
Poor

Student does not provide any pictures for project.
