Identifying Sound Fluency

Students will be given a set of four colored picture cards. They will then be asked to state the beginning sound associated with each picture card.

Basic

When given a set of four pictures, the student is only able to correctly state the beginning sound of 1 or 2 pictures at most.
Proficient

When given a set of four objects, the student is able to correctly state the beginning sound of 3 objects.
Advanced

When given a set of four objects, the student is able to correctly state the beginning sound of all 4 objects.
Phoneme Segmentation Fluency

Students will be given 4 words that contain 3 phonemes each and asked to tell all the sounds in that word (i.e. tell me all the sounds in the word "mop." response /m/ /o/ /p/) 1 point per sound.

Basic

When given the 4 words (12 sounds total) student is only able to correctly state 8 or fewer sounds.
Proficient

When given the 4 words (12 sounds total) student is able to correctly state 9-10 sounds.
Advanced

When given the 4 words (12 sounds total) student is only able to correctly state 11-12 sounds.
Identify Ending Sound Fluency

Students will be given an object. They will then be asked to state the ending sound associated with each object.

Basic

When given a set of four objects,the student is only able to correctly state the ending sound of 1 or 2 objects at most.
Proficient

When given a set of four objects, the student is able to correctly state the ending sound of 3 objects.
Advanced

When given a set of four objects, the student is able to correctly state the ending sound of all 4 objects.
