Friendly Fractions Friendly Fractions For this activity, students will write a poem based on two fractions that they pull from two different fishbowls. Students will demonstrate their knowlegde of converting improper fractions and mixed numbers, comparing and ordering fractions, adding/subtracting them, and simplifying and finding equivalents. This will take about 6 days to complete. On day 6, students will read their poems to the class in a "coffee shop" fashion. Friendly Fractions -Students will be graded in percentages rather than points.

However, they did not meet the minimal standard for the lines.	3.) Good -The student met the minimal standard for the lines.	4.) Excellent -The student met the maximum standard for the lines. 4.) Oral Presentation -Did the student read confidently? -Did the student make eye-contact with the class?	1.) Poor -The student did not read at all. -The student did not make eye-contact with the class.	2.) Fair -The student did not read with confidence. -The student did not make eye-contact with the class (constant focus on their own paper).	3.) Good -The student read with confidence. -The student made brief eye-contact with the class (majority of the focus was on their paper).	4.) Excellent -The student read with confidence. -The student made almost constant eye-contact with the class (briefly looked at their own paper).	Points Earned /25 *Total Points Earned: /100
