Movement Knowledge	Excellent Dancers know the movement extremely well. They are confident and don't need to follow anyone else. Dancers have a great sense of timing & direction.	Good Dancers know the movement fairly well. They keep together, and have a fairly good sense of timing & direction. A few mistakes made.	Needs Improvement Dancers are somewhat unprepared and unsure of the choreography. There is some sense of timing or direction.	Poor Dancers are unprepared and unsure of the choreography. There is no sense of timing or direction.
Creativity and interpretation Ability to incorporate moves that go in with the music	Excellent Excellent use of video and music selection in complete accordance with theme	Good Good use of moves that held some relationship to the video and music	Needs Improvement Some relation between the dance and music/video	Poor No relation between the dance and music/video
Performance	Excellent Dancers perform with full confidence. They perform with enthusiasm.	Good Dancers perform with minimal distractions. They look fairly confident and prepared for most of the performance.	Needs Improvement Dancers are sometimes distracted and insecure.	Poor Dancers are distracted and insecure. They are often breaking the performance by looking around, talking, and giggling throughout performance.
Video Video must include at least 2 minutes of student performance.	Excellent Students select a hip-hop video, approved by teacher. If students created a music video it is fluid and well edited. Students perform for at least 2 minutes.	Good Video includes all necessary components but is not fluidly edited. Students perform for almost 2 minutes.	Needs Improvement Video only meets some of the requirements. Students perform for 1-2 minutes.	Poor Video does not meet requirements. Students perform for less than 1 minute.
