	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Understands Venn Diagram	Poor Diagram is filled in, but not logically.	Fair Diagram is filled in fairly logically.	Good Completely filled in Venn diagram and understands its purpose for comparing and contrasting.
Information	Poor Only wrote one or two words in each part of the circles.	Fair Wrote at least three to five words or phrases in each part of the circles.	Good Each circle is elaborately detailed with five or more words and phrases.
Compare vs. Contrast	Poor Has an extremely limited grasp of how to compare and contrast the two books.	Fair Is adept at seeing how the books are alike, or skilled at seeing how they are different, but not both.	Good Is extremely adept at seeing how the books are both alike and different.
