Historical Fiction Concepts	Good The writing includes a true topic from history that we have discussed in class. Facts are interwoven into your story and they are accurate to your time period. Your writing demonstrates that you have knowledge of history.	Fair A time period or historical event is mentioned in your paper, but not connected to any other events or facts in your story. It is not evident that you understand the historical time period you talk about.	Poor Poor You did not include any reference to historical time periods or events/OR your time periods and facts are incorrect.
Writing Clarity	Good The main idea of the writing piece is unclear. There is not one problem and resoltion. The writing is difficult to understand.	Fair Your writing has one main topic, but contains some information off topic. The writing is easy to read, but could use some revision.	Poor Your writing stays on topic and makes sence. It has a definate beginning, middle and end, where there is a problem and conclusion.
Editing	Good There are more than 7 editing errors in your writing.	Fair Less than 7 gramatical or punctuation errors are present in your writing.	Poor 2 or less gramatical and punctuation errors are present in your writing.
