All main ideas included	Good Every main idea in the section is included in the notes.	Fair Missed on or two main ideas.	Poor Missed three main ideas.
All vocab included	Good Every vocabulary word that the text provides is included. Most, but not all, vocab is written in bold.	Fair Missed one or two vocab words from the sections.	Poor Missed three or four vocabulary words.
Followed format options	Good Excellent- very clear and complete notes including required parts. Power Notes--- Main ideas marked "1" Examples marked "2" Explanations/details marked "3" Characteristics marked "4" Summary--- -Is written in complete sentences. -Includes all the information provided in the text. -Does not repeat or use unnecessary words, stories, or examples	Fair Notes include the required parts and are written in the correct format with maybe one or two small mistakes.	Poor Format is almost completely incorrect. Shows some effort.
Understanding	Good Could explain the section clearly to class. Two minute presentation was very informative and clear.	Fair Presentation showed some understanding but also either left out some explanation or was not clear in some areas.	Poor The presentation showed very little understanding of the material. Some explanations were wrong.
