Shift	Poor There is no discernible shift from one tone to the opposite in the poem.	Fair The shift is there, but the voices do not emphasize it effectively.	Good The shift is clear and emphasized by the voices so that a change in tone is accomplished.
Voice expression	Poor Voices are monotone and self-conscious.	Fair Voices indicate emerging expression of the topic.	Good Voices are engaging and powerful in expressing the topic.
