There is evidence of organization and discussion of the object's background and importance. However, the essay's overall focus still needs work.	Advanced The paper's content is organized, and the ideas and voice of the essay are creative. The discussion of the object's background is relevant and the focus is clear.
Creativity	Emerging No sensory words are used and object is "talked about" rather than described. No transition words are used.	Developing Few sensory details are added and object is not easy to visualize. There are a few transition words evident.	Competent Uses some sensory words and appeals to only some of the five senses of sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing. Some transition words are used.	Advanced Engages all five of the reader's senses and uses poetic devices such as similes, metaphors, allusions, onomatopoeia, etc. Many transition words are used.
