Problem/Solution (thesis)	Poor Does not have Problem and Soluction. (Thesis Statement.)	Fair Contains a thesis statement, but statement barely develops the main idea of the prompt.	Good Contains a thesis statement, but statement somewhat develops the main idea of the prompt.	Great Contains a thesis statement, and statement clearly develops the main idea of the prompt.
Body Paragraphs	Poor Contains less than 3 body paragraphs, or more than one of the body paragraphs don't address the three main points of the prompt or do not include proof of reasoning from the novel.	Fair Contains less than 3 body paragraphs, or one of the body paragraphs doesn't address the three main points of the prompt or do not include proof of reasoning from the novel.	Good Contains all 3 body paragraphs, but some or all of the paragraphs don't address the three main points of the prompt or do not include proof of reasoning from the novel.
