Ideas	Poor Details are limited and unclear.	Fair Good details. The reader does have a picture of what is being described. There is a description of the lesson learned by the writer.	Good Specific details give the reader important information that goes beyond the obvious. Details help create a clear picture for the reader. Great description of the lessonlearned by the reader.
Organization	Poor Information is not organized. Connections between ideas are confusing. Reader has a hard time following the description. No clear beginning and ending.	Fair Logical sequencing of ideas and memories. Paper is generally easy to follow. Good beginning and ending.	Good Inviting introduction and satisfying conclusion. Organization enhances information and is creative. Good transitions.
Voice	Poor Voice of narrative is not clear and is not appropriate for puropose of narrative.	Fair Voice suits the purpose of the narrative.	Good Voice clearly matches the purpose of the narrative, the role of the storyteller, and the audience.
Word Choice	Poor Limited vocabulary and nonspecific words detract from meaning of the narrative.
