Completeness

Beginning

Many of the required sections are missing and notes are therefore rather incomplete.
Developing

Most required sections have been read, reviewed and recorded but there are 3 or 4 sections missing.
Competent

Most required sections have been read, reviewed and recorded but there are 1 or 2 sections missing.
Accomplished

All required sections have been read, reviewed and recorded.
Organization

Beginning

Notes are unorganized, have no continuous format from section to the next and are scattered around different places. They are difficult to follow making it almost impossible to flow from one section into the next.
Developing

Notes are organized but many sections are out of place, lack titles or are in many different places/formats. It is possible however to follow the material from one section to the next.
Competent

Notes are quite organized, for the most part follow a similar format throughout and are primarily located in the same location. One may follow the material from one section to the next but requires a little review before the progression is understood.
Accomplished

Notes are well organized, easy to follow and easy to see how the material progresses from one section to the next.
Colour

Beginning

There is no supplemental colour throughout the notes.
Developing

Few sections of the notes include colour and are rare throughout.
Competent

Many sections of the notes include colour but are not included in all.
Accomplished

Supplemental colour adequately present throughout the notes, highlighting and/or underlining key words etc.
Detail

Beginning

Notes often lack true understandings and important facts within sections. "Quite a lot is missing"
Developing

Notes grasp true understandings of most sections but often lack important facts and points.
"Something is missing"
Competent

Notes outline all major ideas and include most if not all important facts but fail to include important drawings and diagrams.
Accomplished

The notes require an adequate level of detail throughout. Often including drawings, diagrams, labels, and such to supplement.
Concise

Beginning

Notes are over written including all unnecessary words that do not support the important facts and ideas.
Developing

Notes are no longer sentences copied out of text but have been re-written into own words and have cut out most of the unnecessary wording compressing the ideas.
Competent

Notes are concise and well written. Very little to improve upon. Notes are informative, major ideas are present while still being well compressed.
Accomplished

Notes are concise, with few extra words. Diagrams and drawings often misplace sentences to aid understanding.
