Melody Selection	Needs Improvement Student did not play a melodic line from the music for this performance.	Average Student played less than a 16 measure melodic line found in the concert music.	Good Student did play a complete 16 measure melodic line from the concert music.
Instrument Position	Needs Improvement Student has their left wrist straight for only a small part of the exercise.	Average Student has their left wrist straight for most of the exercise.	Good Student has their left wrist straight throughout the exercise.
Bow Hold	Needs Improvement Student is doing one of the following: - thumb is bent - fingers are relaxed - fingers are in correct place on the bow.
