Travel to another country Student will select a Spanish=speaking major city and research the method of travel, the accommodations, and the tourist attractions. Students will include the price of the trip, (in dollars)

Research 40 % The student will research on the internet how to travel to a chosen city, the expense of lodging and meals and the expense of the tourist attractions	Poor The research will not be complete. The student will include some of the things required, but others will be missing. Research is not turned in with project. The price of the trip will not be included.	Fair The student will have researched most of the trip. The student will have included most of the prices for the travel and lodging and tourist attractions. Some research is turned in with project. The student will include an approximation of the price for the trip	Good Student has thoroughly researched the travel arrangements for their trip. Research is attached. They have the prices for travel, lodging and tourist attractions. At the conclusion of the report, they will list a total amount needed to make this trip.
Written Report 40 % The student will write a written report on the things researched, in an organized manner	Poor The report will be a string of facts with no organization. There will be information missing from the report.	Fair The report will include most of the information required. The report might be written by hand and not be organized into the three groups.	Good The report will be typewritten and divided into three parts: travel, lodging/meals and tourist attractions. The student will include the itinerary, the nights of the stay, the amount of meal and where they will be eaten and the tourist attractions that will be visited.
Class Presentation 20 % The student will present the report to the class, including a visual aid	Poor The student will give some unconnected facts to the class, which he will read from a paper. No brochure or info sheets will be presented.	Fair The student will have a speech prepared. Some of it will be statistics read to the class. The student will not have any brochures or info sheets for the class.	Good The student will prepare a 5 minute speech in which he/she will inform his/her classmates of the major things learned in the report. He will not read, but talk to the class. There will be a brochure or info sheet to accompany the presentation.
