Evaluating Presentations 
Analyze and evaluate elements of the presentation and determine how effective the speaker is in presenting his or her viewpoints. Students will also be analyzed by the teacher for their positive audience participation.

Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation.

Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation.

The presenter obviously did not care about what they were doing and did not attempt to make the listener care either.
Fair

The presenter was somewhat interesting.
Visuals added some value and if PowerPoint slides were used, they may have had too much information or were difficult to read.

The presenter for the most part was interesting. Visuals added value and if PowerPoint slides were used, they were easily read.
Excellent

The presenter was dynamic and interesting. Visuals added value and if PowerPoint slides were used, they were easily read.
Audience Participation

Student has PC on, puts their head down or talks to other students during the presentation.

Student pays attention to what the speaker says, takes notes but does not ask any questions.

Student pays attention to what the speaker says, takes notes and asks questions of at least 1 speaker.
Excellent

Student pays attention to what the speaker says, takes notes and asks questions of at least 2 speakers.
Audience Participation

Respecting the person who is currently speaking

Poor

Student fails to participates in discussions and shows little respect for whoever is speaking by interrupt the conversation and/or holding side conversations.

Student participates in most discussions and for the most part, does not interrupt whoever is currently speaking or hold side conversations.
