Repoussé Radial Name Design All About Penguins Repoussé is a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is ornamented or shaped to create a design in low relief. Students created radial designs by making their names radiate around in a circular path. They transferred the design onto metal sheets using the repoussé technique. Then india ink was applied and some used sand paper to create more contrast and emphasize more texture. In order to apply this concept successfully, students had to understand how to find the radius of a circle, which is half the diameter... and viola! Math and art combined!
