Monopoly Project Itinerary International Travel Project The purpose of this unit is to facilitate student learning about the world in which we live. The student will pretend that he/she is going to visit a minium for 5 days and will make round trip travel arrangements to and from their assigned country. To be prepared for the trip, the student will use technology to conduct internet research in order to be able to answer questions about their assigned country’s resources, culture, government, religion, geography, political atmosphere, social events, recreational pastimes, history, economics, etc. After the student has gathered all of the research, they will synthesize the information and write a report about their country and then create a power point presentation to go with their report. 	Excellent Excellent work is defined as following all of the criterion and doing the best work you can do. 7 pts	Good Good work is defined as following most of the directions and doing the best you can do. 5 pts	Fair Fair work is defined as making an effort, but not really doing your best work. You are capable of doing much better. 3 pts	Poor Poor work is defined as not doing a good job and no real effort was put forth. 1 pts

Culture 7 pts	Excellent Made a real effort to be accurate and have current information; included a visit to one cultural even as stated in the guidelines.	Good Made a real effort to find information, but just didn't quite get it right; included a visit to one cultural even as stated in the guidelines.	Fair Included a visit to one cultural even as stated in the guidelines.	Poor Did not include a visit to one cultural even as stated in the guidelines.
Participation 7 pts	Excellent Student participates in class in a constructive manner, and stayed on task at all times.	Good Student particpates in classwork some of the time, and stayed on task most of the time.	Fair Student performs minimal classwork and/or is frequently off task.	Poor Student does not particpate in class and does not stay on task.
Considerations 7 pts	Excellent Student included detailed answers for all 5 considerations listed on the project guideline sheet.	Good Student included detailed answers for 3-4 considerations listed on the project guideline sheet.	Fair Student included detailed answers for 1-2 considerations listed on the project guideline sheet.	Poor Student did not include any detailed answers for the considerations listed on the project guideline sheet.
