Drawing Hands using Sign Language 140x2 points 
Contour Hands
Using photobooth, take pictures of your own hands signing your initials. Save the pictures to your desktop. Draw 3 1/2-4" sized hands, in contour, with pencil, your initials (three required) in sign language using gray construction paper. Consider the interior and exterior lines, add shading and line details inside the contour of the hands with pencil. Using masking tape, tape off evenly a 1/2 inch on top and sides of white (12x18) paper and 1 inch on the bottom on to thermo core base for stability. Paint a value scale (3 minimum) with your favorite color using Tempera Paint for the background and then add one (using the same color hue) line that symbolizes your personality. Allow project to dry most of the way before taking off masking tape. Cut out and glue signing hands to finished background. Sign your name (using a pencil) to the lower right hand side of the artwork before turning in with rubric for grading.
