iRubric: Winter Concert rubric

Student arrived 5 or more minutes late AND/OR student was behaving in a manner that required re-direction.

Student was in room at call time but failed to check-in OR student was not focused/behaving appropriately.

Student was checked in, but not in assigned spot at call time. Student was focused and behaving appropriately.

Student was in correct spot, checked in, and ready to sing at call time. Student was focused and behaving appropriately.

Student was loud moving on and off stage. Student talked while waiting for concert to begin and waiting for exit.

Student talked or made noise while moving on and off stage. Student whispered or talked quietly while waiting for concert to begin and waiting for exit.

Student was quiet moving on and off stage, but left gaps between him/her and the next person. Student stood silently while waiting for concert to begin and waiting for exit.

Student moved quickly and silently while entering and exiting stage. Student was silent and focused on conductor while waiting for concert to begin and waiting for exit.

Student was not playing frequently throughout the concert

Student was sometimes not playing during concert.

Student played entire concert, but did not demonstrate wide full sounds.

Student played entire concert with wide, full sounds

Focus: not looking at conductor; lack of facial expression

Focus: sometimes not watching conductor; sometimes not using appropriate facial expression

Focus: student kept focus on conductor and usually communicated with appropriate facial expression

Focus: student was ALWAYS focused on conductor (unless playing solo) and was expressive in terms of facial expression
