Proficiency The vignette mostly addresses a situations and connects back to how the prompt has an impact on the writer.	Developing The vignette touched mostly addresses a situations, but may lose focus at times or have a very literal meaning.	Needs Improvement The vignette's topic wasn't quite following mostly addresses a situations, or may have strayed into many different directions.
Title	Mastery Extremely creative and appropriate title for the vignette	Proficiency Mostly creative and appropriate title for the vignette	Developing Somewhat creative and appropriate title for the vignette	Needs Improvement Not creative and/or inappropriate title for the vignette
Figurative Language	Mastery Figurative language is expertly used with a variety of metaphors and similes and others to strengthen the meaning	Proficiency Figurative language is used but writer uses more of one type of figurative language with some variation in type.
