Poster Presentation Rubric 
The students will work in groups to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the specialty selected by the group. The group is required to present their poster to the class and instructor.

The poster is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. Confusing.
Fair

Does not have all of the relevant information of the poster. There is not enough information presented. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion and may be hard to understand.
Good

Poster includes all relevant information; however, it is not well-organized or easily understood.
Exceeds

The poster includes all information relevant to the topic. The poster is creative, clear and concise. The group added information above what was taught in class or required for assignment.
Work quality/effort

Poor

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the group is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Fair

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the group is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Good

The work was done with good effort that shows what the group is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.
Exceeds

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the group is proud of their work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Creativity

Poor

Lacks graphics. Not good use of space on poster. Messy. Lacks color.
Fair

Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not alot of color/shapes/design.
Good

Shows some creativity with layout and design. Lots of colors, shapes, and appealing design. Has visuals to support.
Exceeds

Eye catching. Great use of colors, texture, shapes, and spacing on poster. creative layout and design. Writing is easy to read from a few feet away. Has several pictures to enhance understanding.
Oral presentation

Poor

Reads off of poster for the entire presentation and cannot be heard or understood well.
Fair

Reads off of poster entire presentation. Is difficult to hear or understand at times.
Good

Speaks clearly and loud enough, but has to turn back to class to read off the poster.
Exceeds

Speaks clearly and loud enough to be easily heard in the back row. Speaks toward the class. Does not need to read off poster except for 1-2 instances.
Grammar

Poor

Poster has more than 4 errors.
Fair

Poster has 3-4 errors.
Good

Poster has 1-2 spelling and or grammar errors AND
Group is able to answer at end of presentation.
Exceeds

Poster is free from spelling and/ or grammar errors.
Group is able to answer at end of presentation.
