Line Unit 2 -10 point 
Students are introduced to the line work of Van Gogh and various line styles. Students create a landscape drawing using varied line technique and perspective.

The student used many aspects of detail of the landscape that created a much heightened sense of realism. Different styles of line add to the richness and interesting effect. Accurate perspective applied to create space.
Good

Student used some variation of lines to portray the landscape which amounted to an interesting effect. Perspectives added to give depth and add texture.
Average

Line was sometimes drawn with sensitivity and variation but was not consistently interesting or was impatiently applied in some areas. There wasn't a clear use of perspective to create space and dimension.

No care or very little care was given to application of line.
Line was sloppy or quickly sketched in.
Poor

The drawing was more like a sketch. Student did not fill the paper or apply different line variation. Perspective was not considered or accurately depicted.

The drawing was very incomplete. Evidence of large areas empty spaces.

Student did not use time wisely. The project was completed with minimum effort.
Poor

Media is used haphazardly and unintentionally. Project was rushed and areas of the drawing were not considered.
Very Poor

Media is used sparingly. The drawing appears very unfinished with little line work. Drawing is unrecognizable as a landscape.
