Shaving a Resident Students have learned theory and some practical skill and now will demonstrate the skill of shaving a male face on a male volunteer while supervised by instructor. The student must be deemed proficient in order to practice on a resident in clinical. Safety Measures Correctly Utilized	Proficient Student utilized caution during the procedure, was aware of and maintained the safety of the volunteer and of self.	Not Proficient Student did not maintain safety precautions as necessary throughout the procedure.
Communication Skills	Proficient Student maintained effective communication skills throughout the procedure with the volunteer. Student explains procedure and maintains communication	Not Proficient Student did not communicate effectively with the volunteer during the procedure.
Volunteer's Rights	Proficient Student maintains awareness of the volunteer's rights during the procedureie: student stops procedure as requested by the volunteer, adn student respects volunteer input during the procedure as appropriate.	Not Proficient Student fails to demonstrate the maintenance of the rights of the volunteer throughout the procedure.
Demonstrates Proficiency at Skill	Proficient Student demonstrates proficiency at the skill of shaving the volunteer	Not Proficient Student does not demonstrate proficiency at shaving the volunteer and needs more practice.
