Exemplary Student has a very clear, properly labeled, and organized picture or diagram. No mathematical mistakes or mislabels are present. Units are clear and consistent.
Explanation	Developing Explanation is not present or is not applicable to the particular problem. Student shows no understanding of the concept with the explanation.	Sufficient Student shows some understanding with the explanation but does not elaborate or is unclear on some concepts.	Advanced The explanation is clear and consistent, but the student may miss a step or two or makes a mistake in the explanation of a step.	Exemplary The explanation is clear, consistent, and factually correct. The student elaborates on the explanation and knows the logic behind the problem.
Calculations	Developing Student has no calculations or the calculations are incorrect.	Sufficient The calculations are present but are unorganized, inconsistent, or sporadic. Calculations may be incorrect but the logic and understanding is present.	Advanced The student comes up with the correct answer but it may be unclear how the student got there. Not all steps are present or a miscalculation is present.	Exemplary The calculations are clear and correct. All steps are shown and the calculations matches the logic in the explanation and the picture.
