Information	Unsatisfactory Student has no factual information.	Average The student has presented only one informative fact about the chosen topic in the report.	Good The student has selected at least two informative facts about the chosen topic in the report.	Very Good The student has selected three informative facts about the chosen topic in the report and presented interesting information.	Outstanding The student has selected three or more informative facts about the chosen topic in the report and presented information that greatly enhances understanding.
Conclusion/applying knowledge	Unsatisfactory Student has not attempted to form a conclusion or apply knowledge.	Average The student has tried to draw a conclusion by synthesising information from the report.	Good The student has drawn a conclusion by synthesising information from the report.	Very Good The student has drawn a conclusion by synthesising information from the report and tried to apply that knowledge.	Outstanding The student has drawn a conclusion by synthesising information from the report and applied that knowledge.
Grammar, Spelling.	Unsatisfactory Student has not attempted to use 5 sentence paragraph structure.	Average The student has used some paragraph structure and sentences appropriate to an informational report. Less than 10 spelling mistakes.	Good The student has used proper 5 sentence paragraph structure and sentences appropriate to an informational report. Has less than 6 spelling mistakes.	Very Good The student has presented two 5 sentence paragraphs with proper structure and sentences appropriate to an informational report. Less than 3 spelling mistakes.	Outstanding The student has presented 2 or more paragraphs each with at least 5 sentences using proper structure appropriate to an informational report. No spelling mistakes.
Sources	Unsatisfactory Student has used no apparent sources.	Average The student has obtained information from one source as indicated in the report.	Good The student has obtained information from more than one source and named the sources.	Very Good The student has obtained information from numerous locations or sources such as the internet, encyclopaedia, books, etc. as stated in the report.	Outstanding The student has obtained information from many sources such as the internet, encyclopaedia, books, etc. and referenced them correctly, greatly enhancing the report.
Originality/Interest	Unsatisfactory Report fails to capture interest of reader. Student has obviously plagerized (copied) extensively.	Average Report has some interesting information. Some of the writing has been plagerized (copied) from sources.	Good Report captures interest of reader with little evidence of plagerising (copying) from sources.	Very Good Report captures interest of reader and there is no evidence of plagerizing (copying).	Outstanding Report is very interesting with all information restated by student.
