Format and Directions

Poor

Directions were not followed well and more than one relevant section and/or requirement is omitted. Sections are present but may or may not have clear titles/indicators. Write-up may or may not be in Word or PDF format. Order of sections is not logical or seems random or cobbled together.
Fair

Directions are followed for the most part - may have left out one small section or requirement, but nothing that interferes too severely with the report. Relevant sections are present with clear section titles/indicators. Write-up is typed but may be in a format other than Word or PDF. Sections are in logical order for the most part - minor rearrangement may be recommended.
Good

All directions for specific and or general case study are followed. All relevant sections are present and there are clear section titles/indicators. Write-up is typed and organized for ease of viewing in either Word or PDF format. The sections of the write-up are in logical order
Content

Poor

Signs, symptoms, lab tests and other relevant medical information may be explained, but may be lacking detail or case-relevance. There may be a lack of an obvious inductive logic process leading to the diagnosis. Diagnosis, treatments and other information may lack detail and/or case relevance. No additional data, tables or images are added when appropriate or, if present, are inappropriately placed or without explanation
Fair

Signs, symptoms, lab tests and other relevant medical information is explained but may be lacking in some detail or case relevance in some instances. There is a clear inductive logic to formulate a reasonable diagnosis, but it may need some more detail to bolster the argument. Diagnosis, treatments and other information is researched and case-relevant but may miss one or two points. Additional tables, images and other data may or may not be included when appropriate.
Good

Signs, symptoms, lab tests and other relevant medical information is defined and explained as it relates to the specific case study. There is a logical use of data to formulate a reasonable medical diagnosis and this process of inductive reasoning is clear throughout. Diagnosis, treatments and other information is thorough, well-researched and case relevant. Additional tables, images and data are included when appropriate
Citations & References

Poor

Much of the information is either not cited or cited from inappropriate resources. Some citations may not correlate to references. There may be severe formatting issues with citations and/or references. There are several instances where more or fewer citations and/or references would be more appropriate.
Fair

Most information is cited from credible resources and each citation has an associated reference at the end. Citations and references are correctly formatted for the most part, but may lack one or two small formatting details. There may be one or two instances where more or fewer citations/references would be more appropriate
Good

All information is cited from credible resources and each citation has an associated reference at the end. All citations and references are appropriately formatted. There are a correct number of citations and references
Writing

Poor

Writing may be unclear or difficult to read due to poor grammar and/or vocabulary usage, syntax, etc. Narrative paragraphs, when used, may be unclear, too long or short or lack focus. Writing may or may not stay on topic
Fair

Writing is clear for the most part and grammatical rules are generally followed with a few exceptions. When appropriate, narrative paragraphs are used but may need some work regarding clarity, brevity or focus. All writing is on topic.
Good

Writing is clear and all grammatical rules are followed. When appropriate, narrative paragraphs are used and are written for clarity, brevity and focus.
