The Color of Water Powerpoint Rubric PowerPoint Presentation Rubric This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met. Grading Rubric
	Excellent 20 pts	Good 15 pts	Fair 10 pts	Poor 1 pts
Content	Excellent Novel Summary/facts are discussed clearly and in an organized manner. All points are touched on.	Good Novel Summary/facts are somewhat discussed but more information is required. Most of the points are touched on.	Fair Novel Summary is slightly discussed but more material is needed. Half of the points are touched on.	Poor Slides do not contain relevant information. Novel Summary is addressed or discussed or elaborated on. Few if any of the points were touched on.
Presentation/Graphics	Excellent Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. Graphics and effects are used throughout to enhance presentation. Creativity is demonstrated throughout the presentation.	Good Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. More than half of the slides use graphics and effects to enhance presentation. Creativity is demonstrated in some of the presentation.	Fair Slides are easy to read. Amount of text is too great for the amount of space provided. Less than half the slides have graphics or effects. Creativity is demonstrated occasionally.	Poor The slides are not easy to read. The amount of text is too great for the space provided. There is little use of graphics or effects. No evidence of Creativity.
Grammar and Mechanics	Excellent Capitalization and punctuation are correct throughout the presentation. There are no grammatical errors.	Good There is less than 2 grammatical error on the presentation.	Fair There are less than 4 grammatical errors on the presentation.	Poor There are many grammar or mechanical errors on the presentation.
Animations/ Timings	Excellent Animations and Timings are appropriate and have good flow.	Good Animations and Timings are done and the flow is adequate.	Fair Animations and Timings are present but the flow is not adequate.	Poor Animations and Timings are not evidenced.
Use of Class Time	Excellent Used time well during the class period. Focused on getting the product done. Never distracted others.	Good Used time well during the class period. Usually focused on getting the project done and never distracted others.	Fair Used some of the class time well during the class period. There was some focus on getting the project done but occasionally distracted others.	Poor Did not use class time to focus on project OR distracted others. Reminders were given.
Music/Voice over	Excellent All Music and voice overs are clear, and flow with the slides and are relevant to the topic chosen	Good Music and voice overs are present but may at times not be clear or flow with the slides and are somewhat relevant to the topic chosen	Fair There is little evidence of Music and voice overs that flow with the slides and are information is not relevant to the topic chosen	Poor There is no Music or voice overs that flow with the slides and information is not relevant to the topic chosen
